Dr. Irene Cano Pumarega studied medicine at the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (2004) and specialized in pulmonology at the Hospital Universitario de Getafe (2009). During her training, she expanded her studies of sleep pathology at Hospital Txagorritxu de Vitoria-Gasteiz and at Tufts Medical Center in Boston in the United States. She currently works on the Sleep and Non-Invasive Ventilation Unit at the Hospital Universitario de Getafe in the treatment of pathology in children and adults as well as in general consultation in pulmonology and tobacco cessation.
Dr. Cano has participated in various research studies on respiratory sleep disorders and is a member of different scientific societies related to pulmonology and sleep pathology. She is the author of several scientific articles and a speaker at courses and national and international conferences. Additionally, she is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the Universidad Europea de Madrid.
