Dra. María Redondo

María Redondo was licensed in Dentistry at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid- She specialized in Implant Prosthetics and is certified in Aesthetic Dentistry by the same university. In addition, she also completed a course in endodontics at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores Odontológicos and holds a university certificate in Diagnosis and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
After completing her Master’s in Dental Science at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2012, she is preparing her doctoral thesis at the same university on Sleep Dentistry focused on patients referred from distinct specialties of various hospitals in the Madrid Community.
Currently, she is working as an orthodontist in clinics in Madrid and has been part of the Sleep Institute since 2015 as a collaborator on the treatment of patients with simple snoring and Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome using mandibular advancement devices.
She has collaborated on the Postgraduate Course on Prosthodontics and Occlusal Therapy, taught by Dr. Jaime del Río and the Temporomandibular Disorders and Sleep Apnea course taught by Dr. Isabel Moreno Hay, both at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores Odontológicos, as well as occasional classes at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. All the classes are dedicated to the role of dentistry in Sleep Apnea Syndrome, its diagnosis and treatment and are taught both theoretically and practically. During the 2011-2012 course, she collaborated on the Spanish Observatory for the Safety of Dental Patients (OESPO), part of the Medical School at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. During this time, she wrote her DUW in dentistry article.
That same year, she wrote “Orthodontic treatment of sleep apnea syndrome,” which won first place in the Final Project Awards XII in Dentistry for the magazine Dental Gazette.
She is currently an assistant in various courses and conventions in dentistry.
